Munnar - Hills of Peace & Tranquility


Munnar is a quiet hill station, away from the hustle & bustle, in the serene state of Kerala. It is located 1,600 mts above sea level and is a beauty in itself. It lies in the Western ghats range of mountains. 



Munnar is filled with the unending expanse of tea plantations and rich flora & fauna. The hill station is situated at the confluence of three rivers - Mudrapuzha, Kundala and Nallathanni. The highest peak of South India is also situated in Munnar, which is Anamudi, at 2,695 mts above sea level. It is also popular as an ideal trekking spot.

The nearest railway station to Munnar is Theni (in Tamil Nadu). The nearest airport is Cochin International Airport. However, the best way to go to Munnar is by road, especially by Car, so that you can enjoy the beauty on the way. 

Munnar is South India's largest tea-growing region. While walking here on hills, you often feel like walking above the clouds. It is an awesome and must-visit experience.
