Mahabaleshwar is a hill station located in the Western ghats range, in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is a popular holiday resort and a honeymoon destination. It is also a popular pilgrimage site.

Mahabaleshwar in english means 'God of Great Power'. It is full of soaring peaks, deep valleys, crisp air and rich flora. It was once the summer capital of Bombay Presidency during the British raj. It is the highest hill station in Western India situated at a height of 1,372 mts above sea level. The pretty town is aptly located at a vast plateau.

The nearest airport to Mahabaleshwar is the commercial town of Pune, which is at a distance of 115 kms. It is also just 6 hours drive from Mumbai. You can also visit the hill station by train from Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and various other places depending on the train schedules.

Mahabaleshwar is a preferred destination by honeymooners due to its secluded nature.
